Synopsis:
Occupy Mars is a highly technical, open-world sandbox game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working toward becoming a multi-planet species. Build and upgrade your base, discover new amazing regions, conduct mining operations, retrieve water, generate oxygen, grow crops, fix broken parts, and learn how to survive on Mars!
Have you ever dreamt about visiting Mars? We always do! There are so many things to see and discover on the red planet, so many exciting technologies to be created, and so many challenges to overcome! If humanity can do this, we can become a multi-planet civilization!
The developers for this game have been working on perfecting all aspects of this game for several years now. I was able to take a first look at the game with the Prologue on September 28, 2020 where the point was simply to set up a quick habitat. Even this version was tough, but even then I could already see its potential! Several days ago, the developers granted me access to take a look at the Beta Playtest version that only a few select youtubers have been allowed to review, test, and showcase!
The Beta Playtest version only allows access to the game's Tutorials and Free Play. The EARLY ACCESS version is scheduled to become available in either late winter or early spring!
My plan is to provide you guys with walkthroughs through all of the tutorials and as many episodes as possible through Free Play until the Early Access version becomes pops! My understanding it the Early Access version with not only have a Campaign, but also the ability to play Multiplayer Co-op! I cannot wait!
This fourth video (Technically the 1st Episode), I will be diving full into an actual Free Play version of the game. I will be expected to begin putting together a base of operations, as I have no way at this point to produce food, water, or oxygen. While I have a store of these items, I have a limited amount and it is dwindling fast!
Following a list of tasks, I am expected to complete the following:
Locating a water source
Building a well
Building a rock crusher
Building a workshop
Building four solar panels and a transformer
Powering up the rock crusher and workshop
Although much of the process is NOT extremely intuitive, I manage to figure it out through trial and error. After making it through 2 nights, I wake up to a huge dust storm with some major tornadoes. How do you deal with tornadoes?
