In this episode, I have decided to take on Challenges posted from the Silver Strand Meadows Outpost. I had started by taking part in a mission requiring me to catch a Diamond Level Channel Catfish, only to have my recording software fail and to lose all of the footage. I had already started the next mission, which requires me to catch a Diamond Level Lake Trout. I am led up to a small, lone, mountain lake; way off he beaten path, where the Lake Trout grow into monsters!
I quickly find that the Bronze and Silver Levels are readily caught off of #4 crankbaits, but to catch the big guys, you need #2 or #1. At this point in the game, my gear is right at the brink of being too light to catch these fellows without snapping the line! The only benefit is that the lake is too small for them to spool me, so it is going to be a matter of patience!
