50MM 1.8 [nifty fifty] is the best budget lens you can buy.
Cheap, sharp and light weight. It's perfect for portrait photography and street photography.
The 50mm 1.8 lens is my favourite budget lens, combined with the sony a7iii a7c or a7s3 the 50mm was the first lens i got. The 50mm allows you to get sharp portrait photography as well as a nice focal length for street photography. The 50mm lens gives you a nice compression ratio when shooting between f1.8 and f4 after f4 the 50mm 1.8 is still razor sharp with some compression noticeable. The nifty fifty is sharp all the way up to f10 after which it becomes a little less sharp but still professional.
You can not go wrong with the 50mm F1.8 Sony, the price is the best: I bought it under $100 dollars second hand.
