Now here’s how to enable direct messages on Instagram:

1. Open up Instagram app on your mobile phone and login to your Instagram account.
2. Tap on the menu icon at the upper right corner.
3. Now proceed to “Settings”.
4. Proceed to “Privacy” section.
5. Now open up “Messages”.
6. Now click on “Others on Instagram” and select “Message requests”.
That’s how it’s done.
