The New Basalt is the best Citroën in the C3 family. This stylish SUV is in the same price range as the compact sedans sold in Brazil, with a competitive price, coupe design, good interior space and a tall body. It is the cheapest SUV currently on sale, both in the entry-level version with a naturally aspirated 1.0 engine (R$89,990) and in the other versions with a 1.0 Turbo engine and automatic transmission (R$96,990).

Compared to the best-selling sedans on the market, the Citroën SUV, manufactured in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, also has a large 490-liter trunk and stands out for being taller, with 18 cm of ground clearance. Another attribute that draws attention is the 2.65 cm wheelbase (the same as the VW Virtus and the T-Cross).

The entry-level Feel version features a 1.0 Firefly naturally aspirated flex engine with up to 75 hp and 10.5 kgfm and a 5-speed manual transmission. This version is set to compete directly with entry-level sedans such as the Chevrolet Onix Sedan LT (R$101,590), Hyundai HB20S Comfort (R$97,690) and the Fiat Cronos Drive 1.0 (R$94,990), equipped with the same engine and transmission.

The most expensive versions of the Basalt are equipped with a 1.0 turbo engine with 130 hp on ethanol and 20.4 kgfm of torque, cheaper than the Nivus Sense 200 TSI and the Fiat Fastback Turbo 200, both around R$120,000. According to Inmetro, the Basalt Turbo has an average consumption of 8.3 km/l in the city and 9.6 km/l on the highway with ethanol.

There is also a special First Edition launch series with exclusive visual details, such as front bumpers with chrome appliqués, darkened 16” alloy wheels and logos alluding to the version on the doors. In all versions, the Basalt will have a competitive equipment package as standard.
