Buddha, in his teachings, did not explicitly deny the existence of gods but rather emphasized that gods are not central to achieving enlightenment or solving human suffering. His focus was on understanding the nature of human existence, the causes of suffering (dukkha), and the path to liberation through personal effort, ethical living, meditation, and wisdom. Buddha taught that attachment to the idea of gods or relying on them for salvation would distract from the path of self-realization and inner transformation. Instead, he encouraged people to take responsibility for their own spiritual journey.
