A quick recap of Halo: Combat Evolved’s plotline in celebration of its upcoming 20th anniversary. Humanity is at war with the Covenant… and they are losing. Emerging out of slipspace, the Pillar of Autumn flees from its pursuers only to stumble across a ringworld called “Halo”. John-117 (Master Chief), a Spartan super-soldier, awakes from cryosleep and is united with the Smart AI Cortana. They escape the doomed ship, landing on the Halo and uncovering its disturbing truth.
Hiding within the ringworld is the parasitic Flood. Initially, the ring’s monitor, 343 Guilty Spark, assists the Chief in activating the ring. Little did he know, this would involve wiping out all life in a 25,000 lightyear radius…
