Welcome back to our Tribe Tutorials, this week we are exploring safety systems on your kitesurfing bar and how they work. This is such an important part of kitesurfing, however it quite often gets overlooked as people's confidence grows in the sport.

The condition of these parts of your equipment should be your primary concern. The safety release mechanisms should be cleaned, tested and serviced on a regular basis. It's always good to practise and pull everything apart on a regular basis. We also recommend cleaning off your safety systems in fresh water after every use.

Tribe Watersports is a kitesurfing school that operates in Watamu, Kenya. We are always happy to walk you through the different riding spots and provide you with all the information you need to ensure your time in Watamu is not only great fun but also safe.

Our Tribe Tutorials are intended to be an add-on to your Kitesurfing lessons, these videos are to be used as reminders and or a review to your actual kitesurfing lessons. They are not to be used as a replacement to profesional tuition from a qualified kitesurfing instructor.
