One of the first things I noticed in the next fest demo is the fact that the first liquor can now just be entirely skipped allowing for a drinkless run, Overall reducing the runs luck requirement quite noticeably since that aspect of the run isn't a mandatory thing now.
Some glitches I noticed
Whenever your continuously firing while the ai happens to be close too or nearby a wall they'll often either freeze in place or constantly duck in and out basically resulting in some multi second time loss. And the ai has a decent chance to just ignore gunfire, getting stuck in place or potentially take a ridiculous pathway instantly killing a run.
Though the worst non bug related thing is the insane overreliance on auto weapons, particularly the faster shooting or larger magazine ones. Leaving almost every other weapon to be at least some time loss if not completely run ending if you get enough of them, Especially shotguns since there extremely spread reliant. You might as well go for riskier shots because if you miss once or twice the runs just over.
Now for some of the prolly coding or engine related bugs, The only one that carries over from the first demo is the invisible barrier that'll block you from leaving the exit for a few seconds. It'll usually trigger if you kill an enemy close to the level exit but its much rarer when it isn't the case, another oddity Is one of the two floors that takes a while to load the enemies in the first room and you often have to wait to move or even just break the first door open. I've also just been completely stuck mid air, for the other floor with this same issue the main difference is that it can happen after you've entered the floor so the glue ai can sometimes get a cheap shot off at you without even being visible yet
There's also this rare ammo bug in the new demo, Basically when you grab an ais gun there's a random chance it'll be completely out of ammo even the spare mag is empty. However this doesn't make any sense by the games logic because even if an ai shoots at you before picking there weapon up, both the mags will be full. I've noticed that this almost always happens when you kick then quickly grab the weapon right after though it doesn't matter in the long run because its always run ending...
Still was running the otxo next fest demo on steam after it ended by loading it from the saved pc files instead
current description I wrote
i'll maybe make some new stuff, practing currently since i havent played in months. Main issue is that it feels like i got carpal tunnel in both hands already, so can barely play for an hour or 2 straight. also fixed the blue screen filter being in the thumbnail. Used to add another filter to it afterwards to make it look more normal, but I'm just using windows night mode in settings now instead.
hiatus notes (Things are better now)
had to deal with a psychosis episode, major depressive disorder and ocd being the worst its been. theres more but Im too stressed and just can't seem to make it all make sense anyway without mentioning more then I want too. was bad enough to get me approved for (mental) disability so that's something, didn't need to appeal for it either.
