I'm Beside You 2013 Full Album Bass Cover
I was reluting to record this album for a long time... but a couple of weeks ago I really decided to, first time ever, listen all the songs and learn it by ear and record this album! And.... HERE WE GO AGAIN!
WELCOME TO I'M BESIDE YOU FULL ALBUM BASS COVER!
Well...I think Flea used his Fender JB Deluxe to record almost the full album, and this is the bass you can see at "These Are The Ways" videoclip. I do not have a Fender JB Deluxe, buuuuuuuuut, I have my amazing Fender JB AVRI62, my old and loved friend! And I used it with his killer tone and really old strings, as always.
So, in this video, I decided to not "nail" the songs perfectly... I decided to let things go...and improvised a lot on it!
So, let's go to the gear part!
I do not used nothing (as always). And when I say nothing, it's really NOTHING! Just the bass, a cable plugged in my 1st gen. Focusrite Scartlett 2i2, and... that's all!
I removed Flea basslines using Moises.ai, so, you will only hear my gorgeous bass!
In almost full album, the JB is with both volume 100%, neck tone 30% and bridge tone 20%, except on "Love Of Your Life", "Hometown Gipsy" and "Open/Close", when I used 50% neck and bridge tone, and on "Victorian Machinery" I used both tones 70%.
My 2 favourite songs of this album are "Long Progression" and "In Love Dying".
