Costume Party Vegas Elopement at Graceland Chapel
Sablina & Andrew had been together for over 2 years, but with the pandemic and international travel restrictions, it made seeing each other hard - so they decided to elope in Vegas! With 2 weeks notice, their closest friends all got their best costumes together to witness their two friends tie the knot!
Sablina is an amazing artist in based in New York, and she designed their outfits, from the hats to the shoes, and every glorious fringe detail in between! They rented the coolest vintage Mercedes to drive around Vegas on their wedding day, and we met up with them downtown for some pre-wedding photos! We had no idea about the costumes, so when they got out of their car we were shook!
Their wedding day was filled with the craziest thunder storm - I mean we are talking 30mph winds and downpours of rain, but the hour before their ceremony the rain stopped and the sun came out! It provided for us minimal crowds downtown since most people probably cancelled their plans or went back to their hotels during the rain storm.
After some fun photos on Fremont street, we all headed to the chapel. It was like a scene from a movie, guests were pulling up in taxis on Las Vegas BLVD with suitcases in hand and wearing the craziest costumes! Unfortunately due to the strict filming and photography restrictions at the Graceland chapel we were not allowed to film any of their ceremony, but they had two Elvis officiants and some funky Elvis vows!
They then headed to Delilahs at the Encore for an intimate private dinner and drinks before partying the night away!
Everyday we are so lucky and excited to get to capture and create memories like this for amazing couples like Sablina and Andrew! It's fun, it's exciting, and it's always something different!
