Be COOL about Fire Safety - Allstate PSA (1995?)
Gilbert Gottfried voices the in-your-face smoke alarm Seemore Smoke in this PSA about fire safety. With the name Seemore and song about stopping-dropping-rolling, and questionable puppets I consider this part of the Safety-4-Kids canon. The similarities are uncanny, UNCANNY!
There's a puppet fire hydrant with a hose. He's named Jose. Don't worry if you don't understand this very smart joke, he has a Hispanic accent to really drive it home.
Also featuring a cameo of human sound-effect machine Michael Winslow because it's the 90s and if you got Gilbert why not throw in Michael?
Stay until the end to see Little Richard sing about fire safety. His Woos save lives and lets my spirit soar to the ceiling where it collects without a draft to whisk it away.
Found in the ceiling of your apartment complex's hallway, behind that one smoke detector intermittently beeping because of a low battery, and you think "I shouldn't have to replace that battery," yet late at night when you are laying in bed listening to the chirp you think "I'm going to pick up the batteries tomorrow," but when you come back home from work the next day you realize that you forgot to buy batteries so maybe just text the super?
