I know this isnt how sperm cells normally operate in real life but overall I thought it came out pretty good.

The sperm model is rigged and animated. A particle system is then used to create the sperm crowds. It uses PFlow so its parameters are completely customizable or they just work right out of the box. The Cillia surrounding the Ovum cell is also animated and realistically sways with the current of the surrounding liquid medium. Volumetric lighting combined with mental ray environmental shaders create the perfect atmospheric ambiance to give this scene a sense of depth and realism. Sub-Surface Scattering MR Shaders are then used to achieve an organic look.
