What is Mongol Invasion? Cengiz Khan is Turkish?
The Mongols have been the focus of attention for everyone who has little knowledge of history. But in recent times, such as the resurgence of Ertugrul, because of an incredible interest in the Mongols began to see. Or we know that an interest in Mongolian history began with the groundless claims that Mete Khan's wife gave to the Mongols. On the other hand, in the strange stories that Genghis Khan conquered China and desire to achieve immortality with thousands of Chinese virgins, he draws attention to the Mongols.
In this video I tried to draw attention to the most important events of the history of Genghis Khan or Mongol and the sociological reasons behind these events. I tried not to include myth and superstition stories that were unknown.
The video begins by explaining the social structure of the Mongols. I addressed Mongol belief systems, lifestyle and food culture. If we do not consider these focal points, we cannot understand the exact cause of the Mongol invasions.
The historical sources that claim that the Mongols are Turkish, or that Genghis Khan are Turkish descendants are very few and weak. According to Prof. Dr. Osman Özgüdenli, who is one of the academicians who are researching Mongol history, Mongols are not Turkish. But on Youtube or some other sites you can access a lot of information that claim that Mongols are Turkish but not based on research. First of all, let me express that national pride is to take refuge in historical lies or to try to change the historical facts to caress the past, and the past is the work of weak character societies with failures.
Genghis Khan is an important figure in Mongolian history. Because thanks to him, the Mongols, a society that is a hunter and gatherer, jumped the age. In a short period of time, they have dominated a large area from the steppes of Asia to European territory.
After the death of Genghis Khan, his sons, Ogeday, Cuci, Tuluy, Chagatai han, took power.
