RAW: Body-worn camera video shows shootout between man and East Rochester police officer

East Rochester Police Officer Brad Steve responded to a home on Garfield Street Jan. 14, 2024 for an unknown cause and confronted Raymond Noel, who appeared to be holding a gun.

Body-worn camera video shows Noel ignoring orders before shooting at Steve, prompting an exchange of gunfire. Steve was hit in his bulletproof vest. Both men had non-life-threatening injuries.

Noel was later convicted of attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was sentenced to 35 years to life in prison.
