#UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai inaugurated a new canteen called "Didi Ki Rasoi" in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner Office Udhampur today.
The eatery, run by members of the Women Self-Help Group, aims to serve a variety of affordable, home-cooked meals to office staff, visitors, and the general public.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Additional Deputy commissioner along with other government officials and members of the self-help groups.
The canteen is a unique initiative aimed at providing employment opportunities to women belonging to self-help groups in the region. It not only serves as a source of income for these women but also empowers them by offering a platform to showcase their culinary skills. During the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner lauded the initiative and emphasized the significance of empowering women in the region.
The deputy commissioner encouraged the local community to support the project by visiting and patronizing the canteen.
