Hello, my name is Luke. I'm a native English speaker, and I live in South Africa. I have an honors degree in Psychology, another honors degree in Wildlife Management, her Masters in wildlife management, and a teaching diploma. In my undergraduate degree, I studied botany, zoology, genetics, and biochemistry.
My career, over 30 years, was in Science teaching, and later, being a principal in two different schools. I have taught mostly English Second Language speakers for 30 years. I have since embarked on an editing career. I edit mostly scientific papers but also papers in Psychology, Health, the environmental field, and the medical field.
I really love working with Uni-edit because the team is so supportive. If I ever need assistance or guidance with anything, they are there. I've also learned so much about editing from Uni-edit. While there is the technical side, such as formatting, referencing styles, and following the journal guidelines, what I really love is understanding the author's meaning and wording it scientifically so that it is suitable for publication.
When I'm not editing, I'm usually following one of my passions, such as hiking, photographing wildflowers, or photographing the big game in Kruger National Park. I look forward to working with you on your next publication.
