The UniFi UXG-Lite is the newest addition to the UniFi gateay lineup and unlike the UniFi Dream Machines or Dream Wall, the UniFi UXG-Lite, much like the older USG-Lite doesn't include a built-in controller. Meaning that you will need an already existing UniFi Network Controller to adopt the UXG-Lite.
In most cases, the UniFi UXG-Lite will be dropped in into an already existing network with several UniFi switches or access points that will need to communicate with the UniFi UXG-Lite instead of the existing gateway which will be taken out.
