They are known for their excellent hunting skills, preying on deer, elk, and smaller mammals. Despite their powerful and agile nature, cougars usually avoid human contact and are not considered a significant threat to humans. Conservation efforts are underway to protect their populations and ensure their continued existence in the wild.
