We suspect the lines in the TV are due to refresh rate, it is not obvious by naked eyes.

Samsung Soundbar 3 Series| HW-M360:
It is very hard to judge the sound effect with the recordings but it is really amazing. We are using DI (Digital Input) cable from Dish TV (Indian DTH connection). Please insure that the TV or DTH connection must have Dobly digital to be compatible with this soundbar. My TV is non-smart TV but I have taken DTH connection with dolby surround, which give thrilling effect, specially action movies.
Samsung TV 5 Series 40 Inch| UA40M5000 AELXL:
It is a non-smart TV, however it has 2 HDMI points and 2 USB points. It does not have DI output and the Samsung soundbar HWM360 does not support HDMI cable, so both of them are incompatible to each other but if DTH connection has DI output, the soundbar produces magic sound effect. The TV can be convereted to smart TV by using Google chrome tv or Amazon fire TV.
Dish TV| D7000 HD:
The latest model (as of 4th Mar 2018) is D 7000 HD, which supports FHD. It has DI output with Dolby digital. The difference in picture and sound can clearly be identified between HD and SD channels. It is more pleasing to watch and hear sound on HD channels. For Full-on HD packs (as of 4th Mar 2018), we are required to take a base pack too. DishTV was purchased through Flipkart with promo in approximately INR 1300 (including installation, 10 m wire, etc). The installation and activation was fast and smooth.
