In this video I'll be taking a look at Alpine Linux, a lightweight Linux distro weighing in at only 131.1MB, Alpine Linux is an independent security oriented lightweight distro based on musl libc and busybox. I found the install of Alpine Linux Difficult for a new user and probably quite a challenge for a seasoned user, It's a command line install similar in the way you would install Arch Linux. I managed to install and login, after that it was clear to me that all packages including xorg, desktop and software was to be downloaded via the terminal that would have been too time consuming and not really within the guidelines I was looking for when it comes to a complete distro out of the box, it would be very hard to manage download limits to complete. Remember we are trying to download a complete desktop ISO under 900MB using mobile data, (Viewer Request) that's the goal. I hope you still find the video interesting.
