Hello there potters! In this episode I wanted to do a deep dive on how to make a good quality lidded jar. the two most basic ceramic jars you'll see in the wild are the gallery lid an the drop in lid. With these two basic forms in mind this video will address five tips to make a well fitted lidded form. A tight, smooth, lid that compliments the form is mainly what people desire when making a liddedjar, but first we have to make sure it's well crafted. This video will help with that. admittedly this video is a little more advanced. I you are having a trouble throwing off of the hump of have no idea how to splitt clay while throwing, this video is probably not for you. This video assumes you have at least tried and have had made some type of jar form before. If you need a video about those things, I will post them down below :)
