Dawn Morse, director of Core Elements Training, and Katie Campbell demonstrate the revolved, seated forward fold stretch.
This is a fantastic stretch for increasing mobility at the hip joint and lower back region and developing flexibility within the adductor, gluteal, and lower back muscles including the erector spinae and quadratus lumborum.

Increasing mobility at the hip and lumbar spine, can help to reduce muscular related hip pain, whilst increasing stride length, plus increasing mobility within the lumbar spine can help to reduce generalised lower back pain, depending on its cause.

This stretch is an example of one of the techniques covered in Core Elements Online Clinical Yoga CPD course, which is available to therapists at Level 3 and above, who would like to offer yoga based stretches within their clinical work, or as a 1-2-1 clinical yoga session.
An ideal CPD course for Sports Massage therapists, Sports Therapist, Physiotherapists, Yoga teachers, Athletic Trainers etc.
