ARCHIVE: Sabres, Amerks both win conference titles, advance to cup finals (June 1999)
One day after the parent Buffalo Sabres won a conference title and advanced to the NHL's Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1975, the Rochester Amerks followed suit and advanced to the Calder Cup Finals as champions of the AHL's Western Conference.
