Old Man Advancin': Country Editor (Oakmont Advance-Leader)
The Oakmont Historical Society would like to introduce a book about the history of Oakmont, Pa's newspaper, The Advance-Leader. Written by Louise Anderson Spence, this book tells the history of Len Anderson, editor and publisher of the Advance-Leader, during the Eras of the Great Depression and World War 2. Proceeds from this book are dedicated to the digitalization of the Advance-Leader's microfilm. Through digitalization, we can further preserve, not only Oakmont's history but, the history of small town America.
