Hiking Harder Kulm in Interlaken
Hiking or cycling would be cool in Switzerland. I could only choose one due to time.
Harder Kulm is in Interlakan, which is strongly recommended for the landscapes and nature activities. Harder Kulm is also known as ‘top of interlaken’. It is 2hr from Basel, or 2.5hr from Zurich.
From the top, on a good day. You can admire Interlaken basin.
While hiking down, I missed a junction and ended an Unterseen (instead of Ost train station)
I was supposed to hike 10km Pizol5 lakes(about 10km, between 2200 to 3000m elevation). But you only get Fog at the alpine top. Do check gondola and chair-lifts operations (and webcams) too.
So Plan B was Harder Kulm, with elevation of 1300m (4km hike one way)
Interlakan did not disappoint. Lovey town, and the train views.
This town is also popular as a base for nearby hikes.
