Why do the addax live among the giraffes at Blank Park Zoo? It all has to do with their natural relationship. Animals like addax spend most of their day grazing on grasses, naturally trimming them down. Giraffes however eat from way up high and have a tendency to drop a lot of extra food in the process. Instead of bending all the way down to eat what they dropped they simply let shorter animals, like addax, clean up their mess.
