In the new version of Android TV v8 and v9 and newer, the system's main screen is one big recommendation mechanism. Each VOD application provides its own recommendations here (optional). The more VOD applications you have, the more recommendations you can have. The main Applications bar allows you to quickly launch any application. Below it are the recommendation lines. This is the direction in which Android TV is developing. Google wants to provide you with as much video content as possible: movies and series made available in individual VOD systems and in its own Google Movie database. If you don't want to use the video recommendations, turn them off. You can turn them on again at any time.
