There is huge excitement & interest in Korea‘s tech, food, and culture with K-Pop being the most famous/record-breaking music export from the country. But there is more to it than just pop. Korea Spotlight – presented by Korea Creative Agency (KOCCA) - showcases the best in live music from South Korea.
This year, with Korea as the focus country at Reeperbahn Festival, the Korea Spotlight shines the spotlight across a wide range of genres to showcase the diversity and quality of music coming out of the peninsula.
Sadly, thanks to COVID19 related travel restrictions, the Korean bands will be forced to showcase digitally at this year's festival. So make sure to find time in your day to take a seat, log on and check out Wedance, CHIMMI, Bryn, Bosudongcooler, Drippin, hyangni, Kim Sawol, THAMA & Idiotape.

From September 22-25, Reeperbahn Festival 2021 will not only take place on site but also in a comprehensive livestream once again. Since its debut in 2006, Reeperbahn Festival has become one of the most important meeting points for the music world and shows how an exuberant musical line-up can be combined with music business interests and civil society engagement.
In addition to concerts, the programme also includes formats from the visual arts or virtual reality as well as a thematically diverse film and literature offering. In the context of sessions, showcases, networking events and award shows, Reeperbahn Festival professionals can think, experience and listen to music in a new way.
