The story is mostly in post-time-skip Sasuke POV, thinking back about Sakura being the only light in his life (awww...) so now all he does is sit and brood - lol - and think about how she's changed him. He's frustrated that he wasn't strong enough to protect Sakura all those times.

Whereas in post-time-skip Sakura POV, she thinks she's always been a nuisance to Sasuke and that he's always (acted like he) hated her. So when they finally meet up and he says "thank you" she is shocked but still hurt. Then she wakes up and thinks of what she said to him before he left and whether it was true or not, "You've always hated me haven't you, Sasuke-kun?"
