Union Budget 2021: Finance Minister Announces Record Rs 1.1 Lakh Crore For Indian Railways in FY22
Budget to provide Rs 1.1 lakh crore to Indian Railways in FY-22 of which Rs 1.07 lakh crore is for capital expenditure, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced. Indian Railways' national rail plan to prepare a future-ready railway system by 2030, Nirmala Sitharaman announced, and added that eastern and western dedicated freight corridors to be commissioned by June 2022.
