Through the Cougs first six games of the 2024 season, Washington State quarterback John Mateer has amassed 19 total touchdowns (13 pass, 6 rush), 1,601 passing yards and 499 rushing yards for 2,100 total yards of offense, garnering 2024 Maxwell Award Midseason Watch List honors. His production has helped lead the Cougars to a 5-1 record through the first six games, including an Apple Cup victory over Washington in Seattle at Lumen Field. The redshirt sophomore is averaging 266.8 passing yards/game and 15.1 yards/pass attempt ahead of Week 8 in college football.
