Multnomah Falls AFTER THE FIRE | Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Multnomah Falls is just 30 minutes east of Portland, Oregon in the Columbia River Gorge. It's part of a series of waterfalls and it's an amazing and gorgeous area to explore. The Eagle Creek Fire destroyed a lot of the area in 2017. Many of the trails in the area have been closed for years. The trail to the viewpoint at the top of Multnomah Falls just reopened in May 2019.
Parking is free at the base of Multnomah Falls, and there is an additional free parking lot accessible directly from I-84, with a quick 1-minute walk under the highway to access the waterfall. The trail is also free. The lodge at the base has a restroom, snacks, and information. If you're in the Portland area, definitely set some time aside to visit Multnomah Falls. It's so pretty in any season.
