Here's a way to liven up a boring pad 🎹
Grab yourself a noise gate and put it over the top of the pad
Now we want to trigger this noise gate from another track
I have an instrument named "Pad" in the sidechain drop down box which is what we'll sidechain the pad to
An then in the "Pad Trigger" we just have a Hi-Hat which will dictate where the noise gate opens & closes
