Yonas Kinde: the first IOC refugee runner to compete in the Tokyo Marathon
On March 1, 2020, Yonas Kinde became the first refugee athlete in the 14-year history of the Tokyo Marathon to participate in the event’s elite runner category. He’s aiming to participate in the Tokyo Olympics as a member of the IOC Refugee Olympic Team. He'll know in June if he made the team.
