EDGE NYC - Best Observation Deck in New York?!

I booked an afternoon ticket without the City Climb add-on (the one that allows you to climb up on the roof and lean out over the edge - I'd love to do that, but didn't want to spend the extra $150.) Even if you don't pre-book the City Climb, you can usually find an open time to do it when you're up there - there were plenty of open slots when I visited - so you can decide when you get up there if you want that experience. Tickets are timed entry, but as with most observation decks, once you're up there, you can stay as long as you want.
Right now, in 2024, tickets range from $40 to $48 for the regular experience during the daytime or nighttime. $58 if you're going at sunset. There are lots of ticket options though, like a flex ticket that allows you to visit any time on a particular day, or a champagne experience or priority escorted entry. So is the experience worth the ticket price? You'll have to watch the video to decide for yourself. I clearly felt like it was worth it. I've been to a lot of observation decks in New York (and all around the world - you can see a few of our favorites in Dubai here: • At the Top of Burj Khalifa for Sunset... ) and the experience at Edge is definitely one of my favorite. It's not as immersive or interactive as Summit, but the views are better, it's fun to be outside, and it's SO nice to have such a large space with the sky deck - you're not as crammed in as all of the other observation decks.
