The Fire Hydrant Reading Series, created by Kristi Carter and Alan James Blair, features published authors reading their work. The short readings are 30 minutes long and feature two authors each.

DeMisty D. Bellinger has published in many journals and anthologies, including Contrary Magazine, Okay Donkey, The Rumpus, and The Best Small Fictions: 2019. Her chapbook, Rubbing Elbows is available through Finishing Line Press (https://www.finishinglinepress.com/pr.... Her forthcoming full-length poetry book, Peculiar Heritage, published by Mason Jar Press, will release in August of 2021. A Milwaukee native, DeMisty lives and teaches in central Massachusetts. Kasey Jueds’s (she/her/hers) first book of poems, Keeper, won the 2012 Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize from the University of Pittsburgh Press. Her poems can be found in journals including American Poetry Review, Crazyhorse, Narrative, Beloit Poetry Journal, Ninth Letter, Denver Quarterly, Cherry Tree, Colorado Review, and Pleiades, and her reviews appear in Salamander, The Rumpus, Tar River Poetry, EcoTheo, and Jacket2. She lives in Philadelphia with one human, a spotted dog, and many houseplants.
