As per Hagerty:
"This is the only original Chalmers-Detroit racecar known to exist. It was found, still as a racecar, in Wisconsin and taken to California be put in running condition. All of the original patina was preserved in the process. It came in 3rd place in the International Light Car Race in Savannah, 1908 and 1st place in Indiana Trophy Race at Crown Point in 1909 and contested many other races in those years. It now resides back in Savannah and participates in vintage racing events."
