Music Technology Moving Forward
Join me this summer through VanderCook College of Music!
We’re almost a quarter of the way through the twenty-first century and technology is no longer something new for music educators. However, are we always using tech in the most meaningful ways? This course will examine how music educators can use technology not to replace what they are already doing, but instead enhance the curriculum, extend the learning, and emphasize the artistic process. We will explore a variety of resources including notation applications, digital audio workstations (DAWs), performance assessment tools, virtual reality, and more. Projects completed throughout the course will allow educators the flexibility to create something that can be used in their classrooms. No prior technology experience is necessary, only a willingness to learn!
