Hakmarrje Rini - Avenge Me, O Youth (English Lyrics)
"Avenge Me, O Youth" is an early Albanian Partisan song from the period known in Albania as the National Liberation War (World War II). The lyrics recall the final wishes of a now-dead Partisan, martyred by the fascist invader, for the youth of Albania to fight on, avenge him and others like him, and liberate their motherland. Because of the heroic and revered legacy of the Partisans, living and dead, after liberation, many Partisan songs continued to see wide usage in Albania memorializing the great war of liberation and immortalizing the legacy of the brave Partisan fighters who fought, bled and died for Albania's liberation.
