Crowdstrike | Microsoft Outage: The Great Outage Fiasco Summarised ! Is LINUX Sitting Pretty?
Today, we’re diving into the recent saga of the Crowdstrike and Microsoft outage. Or as I like to call it, "The Great Outage Fiasco!"
It all came down to a single software update.
The update to the Falcon sensor program, which is owned US company CrowdStrike, caused a coding error that sent millions of Windows computers to a "Blue Screen of Death".
CrowdStrike is a US cybersecurity company based in Texas that offers ransomware, malware and internet security products almost exclusively to businesses and large organisations.
Linux has always been the OS that people like myself would recommend, but Crowdstrike also deployed on this platform several months earlier and it also suffered a Kernel Panic. However, Linux is just more stable and has a larger community to resolve any issues in general.
