How to improve backgrounds? The Art of Bird Photography (Episode 4)
The background in a bird shot can make a surprising impact on your shot. In this video, I'm going to illustrate this with a shot of a Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo I took a few years ago. In particular, sometimes parts of the bokeh can be a little strong, either due to lightness or saturation. So I'll show you how to use the color and tone tools of darktable to lessen this effect, giving your photo a smoother appearance!
