Liquid Jazz & Bass Session 09: Liquid Drum & Bass
I love Jazz! I'm not what you'd call an aficionado, liking mostly the Greats such as Davis, Coltrane, Evans, Rollins et al. But I just love its innovative & fluid style, its moods. DnB producers have been taking this artform to task for years, taming it, looping it & turning it into new masterworks. For me, the coming together of these 2 great genres was one of the best things to ever happen in music. Whereas in my previous LJB sessions the tempo has been fairly steady, in this one the pace is much faster, really pounding those dancefloor beats out. Time to get your sweat on! 😃
[fans of the original version of this set will notice one slight change in the line-up in its post-remaster format: track 11 by Severity Zero has been replaced with RoyGreen & Protone's 'Cedar', which I think works as a better transition here]
