In this video I will be installing Solus 4.1 Fortitude KDE Plasma to my desktop computer, I will be demonstrating a manual install assigning partitions, following that I will demonstrate an automatic install.
Although the installs went well without problems I managed more than six different installs because of a boot error (Reboot and select proper Boot Device) at some point I realised that the boot order of my hard drive had changed,
UEFI Plextor SSD
Sata Plextor SSD
Both the same SSD hard drive and for some reason the correct selection was set as the second boot, which has never happened on this desktop with any other Linux Distro that I can remember.
I did take some video footage of the bios to try and explain what was going on there which is shown at the end of the installs, I'll leave a link below so you can jump directly to it.Hope you enjoy the video.
Start of second install (Automatic) - 08:36
Bios Boot Order - 11:38
Boot Error - 12:33
F8 Boot Menu - 13:23
