Observer System Redux. A love hate review.

Welcome back my fellow gaming enjoyers. Sorry to have kept you waiting. Indie game dev is a hell of a drug but don’t for a second think I’ve forgotten about this or you.

Today we are taking a scalpel to Observer System Redux. I picked up this game during a steam winter sale while I was looking for something with cyberpunk vibes and was just generally weird. I’ve never played a Bloober team game before so I was eager to dip my toes in the water and see what they were about.

The experience was quite the mixed bag and while some of it hits, some of it really doesn’t. So rather than me trying to pad out the description with more key words, like horror games, Bloober Team, Silent Hill 2 Remake and so on, lets jump in and take a look at what this is all about and maybe try to figure out why people are so upset about Bloober doing the Silent Hill 2 Remake.

On a personal note I will say that for a lot of reasons my heart wasn’t in this one as much as my other videos so you won’t be getting chapter cards or my usual goodbye signoff for those who stay to the end. It’s been a hell of a March so this’ll have to do. Here’s hoping for a better April.
