Here’s another classic mix technique that every engineer should know

It’s called the Pultec Punch 🥊

Grab a Pultec emulation plugin

Put it on the bass, the kick or across the stereo mix bus

Select 60hz

Boost 4dB of gain

Go to attenuation turn to -4dB

It’s not just adding and taking away at the same frequency

It’s creates a really nice curve

Making a nice tight, thumpy sound
