R-N-T co-head JKriv does it up royal here with a bit of old and a bit of new. On the A side “The Queen On Her Throne” is one of J’s seminal reworks in all of its 8 min glory, and although names have been changed to protect the innocent, a bomb by any other name is still a bomb! On the flip, a lesser known West African 70’s jam by Oscar Sulley & The Uhuru Dance Band is worked up into a raucous jazzy afro-house stomper in “Bukom Mashie (JKriv Edit).” Plus there’s a the stripped down beats-n-synth-apella of “Queen’s Beats,” perfect for mixing with the OG or played on it’s own!
