How to Create Perfectly Horizontal and Vertical (Orthogonal) Vector Lines | CAD Drafting
---
Scan2CAD supports three methods through which you can create perfectly horizontal and vertical vector lines, otherwise known as orthogonal lines in CAD. In principle, orthogonal lines in CAD drawings intersect at right angles and are parallel to either a perfectly horizontal line or a perfectly vertical line.
This tutorial covers each of these options in great detail.
The first method you can use to create orthogonal lines involves rotating a slightly askew raster drawing before converting it to a vector format. To achieve this, use the Rotate feature under the Edit tab.
The second method entails using the Orthogonal Snap tool under the Line Tolerance tab while converting the raster drawing to a vector format.
Lastly, Scan2CAD also allows you to draw orthogonal lines using the Draw Line tool - the third method.
Download Scan2CAD today to enjoy this and more capabilities – the software offers endless conversion and correction tools.
