Helicopter Tips 006 - Boss of the Governor
In an R22 helicopter, above 80% RPM the throttle governor will automatically take the RPM up to the green range 102-104%. Make sure to use your hand on the throttle to control this RPM increase, in case of a governor malfunction. Also have the habit of slowly increasing RPM to reduce the chance of the helicopter spinning when operating on snow/ice. Be the Boss of the Governor!
