Today we are making easy blueberry freezer jam. If you haven't tried freezer jam before, please do! The berries retain the fresh taste and make an easy jam recipe!

RECIPE:

Blueberry Freezer Jam (page 147 Ball Blue Book Guide to Preserving)

5 cups of crushed blueberries (about 3 pounds), 6 tablespoons Ball RealFruit Instant Pectin (I used Ball Freezer Pectin), 2 cups of granulated sugar

Wash blueberries, drain (I used frozen pre-washed berries). Lightly crush blueberries in a medium bowl using a potato masher; measure 5 cups crushed blueberries; set aside. Stir sugar and pectin together in a large bowl until well blended. Add blueberries to sugar mixture and stir 3 minutes. Ladle jam into plastic freezer jars, leaving 1/2" head space. Adjust cap. Let jam stand 30 minutes to thicken. Label and freeze or refrigerate up to 3 weeks.
